How to make a WiFi QR code
- Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, including capital letters.
- Enter the password and choose the security type. Most home routers use WPA/WPA2.
- Download the QR code as PNG to print, or SVG for large signs.
How guests connect
On most iPhones and Android phones, guests simply open the camera and point it at the code. A notification appears: “Join network?” One tap and they are online. There is no need to spell out a long password.

Security tips
Anyone who can see the code can join your network, so for businesses it is best to use a separate guest network. The code is generated in your browser, and your WiFi password is never sent to our servers. If you change your password, create a new code. For a strong new password, use the password generator.
